We have an excellent opportunity for a qualified Assets Engineer to join our Assets team within Council's Engineering Services Department.
About your role
Combining your experience in asset management with your knowledge of civil infrastructure, you will be responsible for conducting assets inspections, capital program development, and improving our asset management framework.
Key duties include:
- Developing processes to integrate data into a single Asset Management System for Strategic Planning and Asset Management Reporting requirements
- Inspecting and assessing the condition of Council Assets to enable the long-term planning of their replacement
- Reporting on maintenance data to inform maintenance requirements
What's needed:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering, Asset Management or Accounting
- Experience in road inspections and an understanding of road defect causes with the ability to score and sort road defects into a prioritised list
- Demonstrated experience in the use of handheld GPS equipment for asset collection or in surveying using Total Stations or similar equipment
- Understanding of capital project accounting and auditing
