Job description

Do you have 1-2 years broking experience and looking to progress your career? We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Account Executive to join a fun and successful insurance firm based in inner east Melbourne. 

The successful candidate will collaborate with Senior Account Managers to support a diverse range of construction clients with their insurance needs. This firm places a high priority on career development, aiming to equip the candidate with the skills to independently manage their own clients in the near future.

THE ROLE 

We envision the responsibilities of these position to include, but not be limited to:

  • Acting as the main interface between the client and the organisation to ensure an optimal level of service is always provided
  • Assist on servicing and managing a portfolio of account 
  • Support and facilitate insurance programs
  • Work closely with new and existing clients to determine their present and future needs
  • Propose suitable products, services and upgrades to clients in order to maintain and grow revenue
  • Assist in monitoring and managing service delivery across new business quoting, renewals and claims

WHO ARE YOU?

The successful candidate must be able to manage, develop and maintain long term meaningful working relationships with key clients at all levels and work well in a team.

In addition, the successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant general insurance experience in broking is advantageous 
  • Experience across construction is desirable but not mandatory 
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Positive attitude,  driven to succeed and learn
