The Position
The Assistant Accountant plays a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation. Working closely with the accounting team, the Assistant Accountant assists in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.
- Support and assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Provide Financial Data Analysis and trends to management to support the business in decision making.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Assist with external audits and review internal controls.
- Assist Financial accounting team with month end process and general ledger reconciliation.
- Support payroll manager with weekly payroll processing and reporting.
- Support the accounts payable including processing and reconciliation of accounts.
You’ll have
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Assistant Accountant
- Ability to think analytically and conceptually.
- High achievement drive and adaptability.
- Influencing and teamworking skills.
- Demonstrated attention to details and organisation skills,
- Previous experience in retail highly desirable
