A leading player in the construction industry, known for setting benchmarks in excellence and innovation across Australia, is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis for a 2-month contract. This role offers a unique blend of flexibility, catering to professionals who excel in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
Role Overview:
As an Assistant Accountant, you will be an integral part of the finance team, dedicated to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This position is perfect for detail-oriented individuals passionate about contributing to the financial health of a pioneering construction company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management Excellence: From executing comprehensive bookkeeping tasks, managing purchase orders, and handling bank reconciliations to leading the month-end accounting process.
- Accounts Oversight: Take charge of accounts payable and receivable, coordinate payment runs, and manage communications with stakeholders.
- Compliance & Reporting: Contribute to statutory filings, work closely with external accountants and auditors, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Qualification & Experience: Pursuing or partially completed CA/CPA, with proficiency in financial software, especially SAP. A minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry or similar roles.
- Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
