The Position
St John of God Health Care is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the Group Hospital Finance team.
As an Assistant Accountant, you will provide support to the Management Accounting team. You will be responsible for transactional processing, primarily bank reconciliations. Previous bank reconciliation experience is highly desirable.
This role will be offered on a 4 month fixed term contract, working 76 hours per fortnight.
The successful candidate will have:
- Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Previous bank reconciliation experience is an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of month end deliverables and accounting and finance practices and processes.
- Good stakeholder management, communication and inter personal skills.
- A positive flexible can do attitude with the ability to support self and others.
- Strong attention to detail and delivery of accurate information.
- Strong computer skills – Excel, Oracle with ability to learn software packages.
- Ability to quickly grasp and understand customer needs.
- Active participation in team sessions supporting our one team culture.
