Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will engage, guide and inspire with a hands-on and collaborative approach to facilitate and drive the entire finance function. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Training and supervising all team members in the Finance function including AP, AR, Payroll
- Managing General Ledger, month end procedures, balance sheet reconciliations, etc
- With a deep understanding of the nature of the business, preparing accurate forecasts and annual budget
- Assisting with statutory reporting such as payroll tax, BAS, FBT, etc
- Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors to address relevant issues
- Ensure timely and accurate management reports are produced
- Monitor key performance indicators for the Group and drive corrective action
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Previous experience in the hotel or MLR industry is preferred
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting
- Highly organised and able to manage priorities in order to meet deadlines
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to problem solving and coach other staff members to the desired outcomes
- A positive person and is willing to create an enjoyable work environment
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills; experience in Xero is highly preferred
