We are seeking a dedicated and proficient individual to join our team as the Assistant Accountant for Chery Motor Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting various financial activities and maintaining financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Assist in Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Assist in Month-end Procedure: Assist in the preparation of month-end journals and tasks.
Assist in Invoice Processing: Handle the processing of invoices, expense claims, and purchase orders, verifying their accuracy and completeness.
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist in Audits: Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
Financial Analysis: Conduct basic financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other financial laws, staying updated on relevant changes.
Qualifications:
Automotive industry experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Pentana MDS is a plus but not essential.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Prior experience in a similar role or industry is advantageous.
