Client Details
A Japanese global company is seeking an Assistant Accountant in their office in North Sydney. This role will suit for an individual who would like to gain experience in end to end accounting tasks.
Description
he key responsibilities and duties of the role:
- General accounting administration support such as:
- Recording daily financial transactions (Purchases, Cash receipts and disbursements etc).
- Performing bank reconciliations.
- Recording end of month accrual and adjustment journals (including lease transactions)
- Recording monthly / quarterly / annual financial reports (BS, PL, Changes in Equity and Account balance details and other necessary reports).
- Performing end of financial year processes, and supporting annual financial audit
- Preparing statutory returns including ATO BAS, FBT returns and individual income tax return for employees.
- Preparing Income tax expenses and calculating deferred tax assets.
- Running accounting system for monthly depreciation of fixed asset.
- Preparing financial forecast and budget.
- Preparing ad-hoc reporting to headquarters in Japan.
- Filing documents
- Supporting internal control activities.
- Any other ad-hoc tasks as requested
Profile
In order to be considered for this role you will have the following key attributes, skills and strengths:
- Few years experience in accounting or have recently graduated with accounting degree
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with various stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
