An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join their high performing team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will have a broad scope of responsibilities including:
- Monthly balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Assist in cost analysis reports, identify process improvement opportunities, and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders.
- Assisting in preparing and processing payroll
- Contribute to month-end and year-end lodgement processes -BAS, PAYG, IAS, Payroll
- Review, analyse and prepare yearly audit file, and liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers.
- Preparation of budgeting and forecasting reports
- Undertake ad hoc tasks as required
To be considered for this role you will have at least 3-4 years' experience working in an Assistant Accountant role within a large organisation, and ideally studying towards a CPA/CA. You will also have excellent communication skills, be an analytical thinker and problem solver with high attention to detail and enjoy working as part of a collaborative and dedicated team.
