ABOUT THE ROLE

Based in Forster NSW 2428 this position will be a full-time position.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet and greet clients
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and update phone register
  • Appointment setting
  • Handle general client enquires
  • Co-ordinate the general office environment
  • Data entry and other administrative support when required
  • Filing, photocopying, scanning, ordering stationery, petty cash, mail and banking
  • Receipting of invoices
  • Preparation of debtors statements
  • Prepare client fees
  • Daily taxation return lodgments
  • Prepare outgoing correspondence

POSITION COMPETENCIES

  • Displays a reasonable knowledge and understanding for an accounting office environment
  • Willingness to learn, show initiative and be a positive "team player"
  • Displays each of the following attributes - excellent work ethic, dedication, punctual, initiative, attention to detail and be organised.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • No formal qualifications are required for this position.

POSITION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Basic experience in an accounting office environment
  • Experience with handling a telephone system
  • Proven experience with office software such as Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
  • Sound knowledge of general office reception and administration procedures
  • Maturity, stability and responsibility

POSITION EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS 

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • ATO Portal

REMUNERATION

  • Remuneration will be based on experience pursuant to the clerical award.
