We are currently searching for a full-time Assistant Accountant who is driven, motivated and capable of effectively communicating with both colleagues and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Issue of invoices to customers and external partners.
- Prepare all dispatch documentation, including packing lists, labels, consignment notes and export documentation.
- Organise Proforma invoices for COD payments from customers for cash sale orders
- Receive and process credit card payments from customers using Westpac payWave system as and when required.
- Assist Administration staff in NSW and service workshop with invoicing
- Respond to and deal with Customer queries
- Answering phone calls to the business
- General administration & housekeeping responsibilities
- Investigate unprocessed sales and work orders on weekly/monthly basis
- Clear small balances on debtor accounts
- Produce Customer monthly statements
- Reconcile Customer accounts
- Assist Accounts payables and receivables when required.
- Any other duties as requested by the accountant.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field (required)
- Previous experience working in accounts payable and invoicing (preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Administrative and data entry skills
- Strong organisation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Valid working rights in Australia
