Corin is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Australian finance team reporting to the Finance Manager, based in Pymble, Sydney on a hybrid basis - 3-4 days a week.
As our Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for the
- Daily collections reporting and bank reconciliations.
- Posting banking transactions and allocating credit notes
- Complete the month-end balance sheet recs.
- Handle general ledger entries.
- Monthly reporting with banks and insurers
- Assist with tax reporting including BAS, FBT, and ITR
- Maintain and update fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
- Complete the end-to-end accounts payable process.
- Assist with Concur expense payments.
- Support the team with other accounting tasks where required.
- Assistance with some sales reporting
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and fieldwork.
- Day-to-day support to the other team members
- Ad hoc duties to support the team.
Our ideal Assistant Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
- Part qualified in CPA, studying or looking to start studying CPA
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and analyze information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player
- Highly motivated and capable of keeping up in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
