Assistant Accountant - Creative Agency

Our client is a very well-established Creative Agency that has a strong reputation in the industry. They have had over 50 years in the Australian market, designing branding and advertising campaigns for very well-known international brands.

There is the real opportunity this role can stay on permanently, as the business has recently made some exciting interstate acquisitions. 

They offer 2 days a week working from home. 

The Assistant Accountant role will be responsible for:

• Assist with the month-end tasks, including monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting in preparing Management Reports
• Producing weekly and monthly reports both internal and external
• Fixed assets Reconciliation
• Maintain Fixed assets register and process monthly depreciation
• Work in Progress Reconciliation
• Manage intercompany transactions and journals
• Bank reconciliation assistance where required
• Preparation of Monthly Billing 
• Assist in audit tasks across the Group 
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets

Our client is looking to hire someone with the following background:

• Currently an Assistant Accountant with some month-end reporting tasks – journals, prepayments, accruals
• Currently studying your CA or CPA qualification
• Great communication skills and someone who is confident engaging with stakeholders across the business

If you have any experience in Advertising/Media, that would be highly regarded but is not essential.
