We are seeking a high-achieving Property Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic team.
Property Assistant/Accountant - Global Investment ManagerThis is an ideal opportunity for a part-qualified candidate who is eager to launch their career in the exciting world of real estate finance.
Experience in the property or real estate industry is a significant advantage, particularly for those who have transitioned from Big 4 firms who have excellent stakeholder engagement and a high achieving attitude! In this hands-on role, you will gain exposure to a wide range of responsibilities, working collaboratively with our dedicated team across both funds and corporate functions.
What you'll do:
● Assist with processing financial transactions related to property investments, including invoices, payments, and tax compliance obligations (BAS & FBT).
● Handle fund transfers, AP/AR transactions, and GL Journal preparation.
● Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts for property projects and other corporate activities.
● Support the preparation and review of financial reports, including reporting analysis, specific to property holdings and the broader organization.
● Participate in property management meetings to stay informed about key business developments.
● Liaise with Custodian for payment instructions, assist in bank account management, and monitor cash balances.
● Assist in cost analysis reports, identify process improvement opportunities, and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders.
● Raise and process sundry invoices, actively manage outstanding debtors, and review aged debtor reports.
● Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes for both funds and corporate accounts.
● Collaborate with internal teams on various project work, including potential
integrations.
● Manage cash and bank accounts, ensuring proper financial control.
What we're looking for:
● Part-qualified candidate (CPA/CA) with an accounting or finance degree (Ideally Major in Accounting)
● 4+ years accounting experience
● Strong academic record and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
● High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
● Experience in the property or real estate industry (a major plus, especially for Big 4 alumni).
