Assistant Accountant

We are searching for a Junior Accountant or Assistant Accountant to join a European listed company that is the leader in the industry.

• Salary of c. $70,000 + Super
• Pyrmont location
• One day work from home

You will be joining a close-knit finance team of four senior and qualified accountants. Training and development is a huge drawcard as you will be cross-trained in reporting, analysis and tax. This will be a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious accountant who is engaged in or intending to pursue their CA/CPA.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Timely invoice processing and cash collection
• Daily bank reconciliations
• Processing of credit applications received and set up of new customer accounts
• Prepare and manage payments for suppliers in accordance to the payment terms
• Assist with general expense management including employee claims and credit card reconciliation
• Cash flow forecast on planned receipts/payments
• Preparation of key customer/vendor reconciliation on a monthly basis
• Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by superiors

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or equivalent)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Full-time working rights are essential
• Intermediate knowledge of excel and SAP (advantageous)
• Part-qualified or intending to pursue CA/CPA
