About the role
National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for an Assistant Asset Management System (AMS) Officer within the Assets & Infrastructure Branch.
As an Assistant AMS Officer, you will provide support to AMS officers, Team Leader AMS and Park Operation Branches in the continuous improvement and implementation of the AMS for National Parks & Wildlife Service (NPWS). You will assist geographically dispersed stakeholders in utilising our systems with a goal to further mature the organisations asset lifecycle planning, development, maintenance and programs.
The role is also responsible for supporting broader AMS system support, administration, and training for NPWS staff.
About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Demonstrated ability to deliver program outcomes and project support activities in line with agreed standards and objectives, given tight deadlines and competing demands and priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to provide support and guidance to geographically disbursed teams and programs with a high degree of autonomy and initiative.
- Experience in supporting the management of a large and diverse asset portfolio, potentially across Branch boundaries, including heritage assets and capital infrastructure in a sensitive environment.
- The successful candidate will need to have the same drive that our dedicated, dynamic team has to support and enhance our National Parks throughout NSW.
Essential requirements
- Demonstrated experience in Asset Management and maintenance planning using a specialised Asset Management software package.
- Experience in analysis, identification, collection and input of asset data to maintain accurate and comprehensive records across multiple data sets.
- Demonstrated experience in training users with limited exposure to software product usage.
- Ability to travel throughout NSW and a current Australian driver’s licence.
