About the role:

Complete AMS is seeking an experienced Business Unit Manager to lead our dynamic team of asset management specialists. 

The Business Unit Manager will coordinate our mining division, steering the team's efforts to develop and enhance planning processes and maintenance strategies ensuring optimisation of maintenance activities for our clients. This role involves direct client engagement, project management, and team leadership to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Our team engages in a variety of maintenance projects, including the development and implementation of maintenance strategies and tactics, SAP Master Data updates, and creating technical documentation to support effective maintenance execution. We also provide experienced resources for short and long-term maintenance planning support. 

Beyond supporting our existing customer base, this role focuses heavily on business development, where it will spearhead the drive for growth within the Business Unit in seeking new customers and opportunities to expand the team.

As the face of the Complete AMS Mining division, you will have the autonomy to grow and steer your team to achieve business objectives. You will coordinate customer requirements, build and maintain strong client relationships, and ensure an exceptional customer experience through effective project management and team support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management: Serve as the primary contact for mining clients, build and maintain strong client relationships, and ensure exceptional customer experiences through proactive communication and problem-solving.
  • Project Management: Manage all aspects of maintenance strategy development, planning support and asset management work, including; scoping and development of quotations, oversee the execution of work packages, and ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support the mining team, foster a collaborative and positive team culture, and conduct quality checks on team outputs.
  • Business Unit Management: Develop proposals and quotations, manage the Business Unit's performance, and ensure continuity of work through forward planning.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborate across departments to expand the client base, and participate in industry events to promote Complete AMS.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant Trade certificate
  • Project Management qualification
  • Experience with SAP EAM principles and processes
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Mining sector
  • Demonstrated experience in asset management and planning
  • Proven experience in a similar management role leading teams successfully
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including MS Project, MS Teams, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to travel for client engagement

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in maintenance of Heavy Mobile Equipment and/or Fixed Plant
  • Sound knowledge of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM)
  • Sound knowledge of preventative maintenance principles
  • Strong understanding of maintenance work management principles
  • Attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Familiarity with OEM publications (CAT SIS, LinkOne, etc.)
