Position: Assistant Branch Manager
Location: Northwest region of Western Australia- Newman
Roster: 9:5 FIFO from Perth
About the Role: Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will play a crucial role in upholding the standards and ensuring the success of their operations. in the Northwest of WA (Newman) Your responsibilities will include compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, monthly KPI reporting, asset and personnel management, labour coordination, team development, customer relations, contractual oversight, and serving as the point of contact for human resource matters within the Branch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all branch operations align with company policies and procedures.
- Provide general supervision, management, and leadership to the branch staff, emphasizing feedback, training, and support.
- Manage the branch's profitability, contribute to budgeting, and minimize costs.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to target high-potential businesses and drive business development.
- Demonstrate strong technical competencies, personal leadership skills, and industry knowledge.
- Oversee HR/IR functions and fleet management activities, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
Requirements for Success:
- Strong understanding of crane operations, machinery hire, and logistics/transport.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend profit & loss statements, including gross profits and labour as a percentage of sales.
- Sound knowledge of KPIs and their effective use in monitoring and managing operations.
- Proven oral and written communication skills, with the ability to address a wide range of people on various sensitive and complex issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating strong leadership.
- Capability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks to ensure internal services are efficient.
- Intermediate to advanced computer and business accounting skills.
- Excellent relationship-building, problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Willingness and ability to coach and mentor team members.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying improvement opportunities.
- Preferably, appropriate qualifications in Management (i.e., Diploma or higher).
