Assistant Centre Director (2Ic)

A rare opportunity has come up to join our leadership team, due to our current Assistant Director retiring in the coming months. We are looking for a passionate and motivated early childhood leader to undertake the Wholechild mentorship program to come on board as the Assistant Centre Director of Wholechild Early Learning, Coffs Harbour.

The Role

• Over time, you will ultimately be responsible for all operational aspects of managing the centre on a day-to-day basis
• Mentor, inspire and support the team to build a positive and passionate culture
• Lead by example to embed Wholechild’s curriculum, policies and regulatory requirements
• Substantial time off the floor to work in partnership with the Director in all aspects of the centre’s daily operations
• Develop skills and competence with operating systems, online and CRM programs 
• Connect with families, manage accounts and day-to-day relationships 
• Have a genuine desire to work in the office and provide leadership mentoring with the team and the children

Pre-requisites

• Diploma or Bachelor of Education / Teaching in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA recognised or equivalent)
• Experience in a similar role is desired, however, not essential
• Current First Aid HLTAID004, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis and Working With Children Check (WWCC) 
• Child Protection Training (CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
• Extensive knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
• Can work between the required operational hours
