As our Assistant Centre Manager, you will be the 2IC to our Centre Manager working at a renowned asset based on the Gold Coast, taking full advantage of the seaside environment.
This centre offers a range of specialty retailers, an alfresco dining precinct, entertainment precinct and will be a highly attractive role for the successful candidate as you will be working with a dynamic onsite team and with an innovative client who is truly invested in the sustainability and growth of the asset.
Your focus in this role is to work closely with our Centre Manager to ensure the smooth daily operations and to assist with leading and motivating on-site staff and fostering a collaborative team culture. You will also be responsible for developing and managing positive retailer relationships and ensuring delivery of key items within the business plan including overall asset profitability.
The role will assist in optimising the centre’s performance and presentation, with a strong focus on arrears, developing the best outcomes for retailers on capped occupancy deals and nearing or hitting percentage rent.
Other key responsibilities include;
- Assisting with the management of budgets, business plans and monthly reports
- Implementing strategies to address retailer performance providing recommendations and solutions to the Centre Manager for approval
- Identifying new business/ income opportunities
- Ensuring consistent retailer adherence to terms and conditions of leases
- Preparing Lease Approval Forms (LAFs) for the Centre Manager to review and submit to the client
- Managing the merchandising and presentation of vacant shops
- Participating in the implementation of the marketing strategy in line with the centre’s strategic intent
- Being aware of legal and insurance requirements with regards to promotions and events
- Assisting with the centre’s digital strategy, content plans and conducting timely audits of content across all social media platforms
- Reviewing centre research and competition
- Ensuring the centre is maintained in a safe and sustainable way, making all stakeholders aware of any potential issues

Outstanding interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, as is prior exposure to finance, budgeting, operations, contractor management, leasing, and marketing.

A Qld Real Estate Salesperson Certificate is required.
