About the role:
An exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Company Secretary to join a high-performing and diverse team. The role is vital in ensuring the relevant boards, board committees and co-owner committees operate effectively, and that complete and accurate records are maintained of meetings. You will be familiar with the Corporations Act, and other relevant legislation and regulatory requirements. As well as experienced in working with a company’s policies and procedures including the corporate governance framework and ensuring their compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support such as preparing agendas and pre-minutes, following up on matters, packs, compiling board papers, checking appropriate formatting, and minutes and ensuring action items from meetings are communicated with relevant stakeholders.
- Attending various board meetings and preparing draft minutes
- Completing regulatory forms; lodging documents/notifications with regulatory bodies
- Ensuring all statutory registers are maintained.
- Assisting with the drafting and verification of the Directors’ Reports, and annual statements.
- Providing advice and support on matters of corporate governance, statutory and regulatory developments, as well as best practice requirements and standards.
- Contributing to the development of appropriate policies, corporate governance frameworks and best practices within Australia.
Skills and Competencies
- Qualifications in corporate secretarial, governance
- 5+ year’s experience working in company secretarial compliance or governance roles.
- Proactive, self-motived, and intuitive
