Your duties would include:
- Facilitating the Program and Leading Learning - working collaboratively with our Educational Leader and Team to build an engaging, educational daily program that is child led, based on My Time, Our Place. (OSHC Professional Standard 2).
- Collaboration with Families and Others - building relationships and bonds with children and their families, providing them with support and knowledge of holistic child development milestones and approaching these in an honest and respectful manner. (OSHC Professional Standard 1).
- Workplace Health and Safety - leading the Team to facilitate and create a safe and compliant space for the Service as a whole and educating the staff on safe practices.
- Lead Professionalism and Support Staff Development - working together with the Coordinator to build an understanding of guidelines for staff, children and families and offer supportive training opportunities for the Team.
- Management and Human Resources - working with the Coordinator to support the Team in capabilities and grievances, guiding staff to strive for high performance, punctuality, high supervision, ability to support children's well-being, development and safe practices for our OSHC community. This position within the Management Team will be responsible for building positive and proactive relationships with all staff in OSHC and will be required to supervise, coach and mentor staff in all aspects of the Service.
- Administration - having a confident ability in using computer systems for word processing and documentation purposes, having a high understanding of QIP and updating this with the Team regularly, supporting families with bookings, enrolment enquiries and general enquiries with time efficient correspondence through phone conversations or email for reporting and compliance purposes.
We are seeking a calm, kind, empathetic and responsible person to fill the position of Assistant Coordinator within our Team. You should be a great communicator, efficient in your work, positive disposition and you must take pride in your position by role modelling what your ethics are for caring for children within the OSHC space.
You must have the flexibility to do opening or closing shifts that will be shared amongst the Leadership Team.
Previous OSHC experience is not essential, but experience working with children is a must and qualifications to support this.
