Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Coordinator to join our OHSC team. As the Assistant Coordinator, you will work closely with the Coordinator to ensure the smooth operation of our OHSC program, maintaining high standards of care and compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Coordinator in the day-to-day management and supervision of the OHSC program.
• Support and mentor OHSC staff, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
• Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including enrollment, attendance records, and billing.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including health and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, addressing any concerns or inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment where children feel safe, respected, and valued.
• Collaborate with the Coordinator and other team members to continually improve the quality of the OHSC program.
Requirements:
• Certificate IV in School Age Education and Care (or equivalent) highly desirable.
• Previous experience working in an OHSC or childcare setting.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Sound knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.
