About the role
You will be assisting to manage and deliver on Adelaide’s strongest pipeline of small to medium sized residential developments. This is a great opportunity to work closely with an experienced Development Manager who will provide mentoring and training to develop your skillset. With a genuine pathway to becoming a Development Manager, this is an ideal role to further your career in the property development industry! 

About your new career
A huge part of our success hinges on the calibre of our team and our brand. At Rivergum, you will be provided with hands-on training. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in managing all aspects of project delivery including identification, assessment, development and construction workflow. 
  • Assist with the analysis, negotiation and project management of development opportunities in line with project expectations (time, cost, quality). 
  • Assist in achieving re-zoning, planning approvals, demolitions, subdivisions, civil engineering works development approvals etc. in a timely and effective manner. 
  • Establish and maintain project GANTT charts and project budgets. 
  • Participate in project management within a project team environment to enable house and land packages within land developments to be created, marketed and sold. 
  • Involvement with external marketing submissions and presentations. 
  • Work closely with the marketing team to coordinate project sales and marketing plans. 

About you
We are seeking an energetic self-starter with the ability to work well both as part of a team and under minimal supervision. The right candidate for this position will have:

  • Some industry experience within the housing development sector, real estate, valuation or project management profession. 
  • Ideally some exposure/understanding of due diligence on sites for acquisition, management of a project or portion of a project from design to planning approval to successful completion, feasibility and budgets, marketing of projects. 
  • Preference for professional tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, property valuation, planning or project management. 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to monitor real estate market trends (sales, rental and economic). 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills. 
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. 
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills. 
  • Sound computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office, in particular, Word, Excel, MS Project. 
  • Knowledge of ARGUS Developer Software is desirable, but not essential. 
  • You’ll want to build a long-term career with us.
