A Sport Integrity Australia Assistant Director, Anti-Doping Investigations plans, leads, coordinates, and manages specific investigation activities primarily into possible Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs) by athletes and athlete support persons whilst also having responsibility regarding allegations of fraud against Sport Integrity Australia.
They demonstrate strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, performance management and project management capabilities and have strong liaison and negotiation skills to manage relationships at all levels.
In conducting these functions, the team works closely with other areas of Sport Integrity Australia, Australian regulatory and law enforcement bodies, anti-doping organisations internationally, sports organisations and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
All investigations are conducted in accordance with legislative requirements and best practice methodologies.

The duties of the Assistant Director, Anti-Doping Investigations will vary according to the needs of the Executive and Senior Executive as informed by the Director Investigations, under limited direction duties and responsibilities include:
- Conduct investigations in accordance with relevant Australian Government legislation and policies, including the Australian Government Investigations Standards and the Sport Integrity Australia Investigations Manual and procedures.
- Conduct ADRV investigations in compliance with the requirements of Sport Integrity Australia Act 2020, Sport Integrity Australia Regulations 2020, the World Anti-Doping Code, WADA's International Standards for Testing and Investigations and Results Management.
- Coordinate and manage investigations into possible ADRVs in Australian sport, in accordance with Sport Integrity Australia priorities.
- Coordinate and manage investigations into allegations of fraud against the agency.
- Coordinate, plan, and manage the use of team resources to ensure required outcomes are delivered within agreed timeframes and within budget.
- Maintain sustainable and effective operational relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Australian regulatory and law enforcement bodies, anti-doping organisations internationally, sports organisations and WADA.
- Enhance the capability and reputation of Sport Integrity Australia.
- Assist in the identification of mitigation strategies for potential risks to achieving the agency's mission and objectives.
- Mentor, lead, and develop investigation team staff, and where required multi-disciplinary teams.
