About the Position
Reporting to the Director, Communications, Engagement and Education, the Assistant Director, Education is responsible for the development and delivery of the Fair Work Commission’s (the Commission’s) external education and information products and services, including development of resources for the Commission’s Online Learning Portal.
The Assistant Director, Education will collaborate with subject matter experts across the Commission to deliver high quality information and education products to our external users. Ensuring that our products are accurate, accessible, and in plain language, and are targeted to meet the needs of specific user groups across a broad range of formats and channels.
Duties
- Project manage the development of new learning resources, including new online learning modules, animations, and educational resources and information materials, with a focus on digital products and service.
- Build and sustain productive and collaborative relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate user centred design and deliver education content, activities, and outputs that meet user needs.
Oversee the Online Learning Portal, including:
- maintaining accuracy of content
- developing new learning modules
- driving user-focused enhancements to the
portal to improve usability
- providing support to end users, including
by liaising with the ICT team to resolve issues.
- Provide leadership to team members, including supporting the professional development of team members, building capability through training and coaching, providing performance feedback, building cooperation, and improving team performance.
- As a member of the Branch leadership team, actively contribute to organisational planning, reporting and performance management activities to assist the Commission achieve its strategic goals.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Director, Communication, Engagement and Education and Executive Director, Legal, Performance and Engagement.
