The Business Development Manager is responsible for securing new commercial partners and sponsorships to enhance organisation sustainability and profitability. Responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline for existing and new assets to drive significant growth in commercial revenues.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive company growth, increase revenue and generate brand awareness
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, partners and stakeholders
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve targets
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects
- Convert existing sales pipeline opportunities into successful deals, maximising revenue and fostering long-term client relationships.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or other related field preferred
- Minimum of five years’ experience with proven track record in sponsorship and/or partnership development is required
- Existing relevant network to be able to draw on and hit the ground running
- A working knowledge of the technology, innovation, emerging technology sector
- Marketing experience a plus but not required
- Demonstrated experience managing a CRM. Ideally with experience using Hubspot
- Excellent time management, organisational skills, and ability to juggle and prioritise multiple projects
- Superior communication and writing skills
- Must be a self-starter, proactive and driven, with a strong work ethic, a high level of motivation, a strong sense of urgency when needed, the ability to work without direct supervision and consistently meet deadlines
