Assistant Director, Magistrates Court Criminal Registry

Salary Range: $119,595 - $128,465 (PN: 09783)
Applications are sought for the role of Assistant Director, Magistrates Court Criminal.
The Assistant Director reports to the Director, Magistrates Court Registry Operations and is responsible for the management and day to day operations of the Magistrates Court Criminal Unit.
The role is operational and ensures the provision of high quality in and out of court support to judicial officers across the Magistrates Court for criminal proceedings and delivers coordinated administrative and client services to internal and external stakeholders., court users and members of the legal profession.
The successful applicant will proactively oversee team workflow and regularly review and update Criminal Registry processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and legislative compliance. They will provide tailored advice on policy and procedural matters so a sound knowledge of criminal operations, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge, is crucial. They will build a respectful and supportive workplace culture and manage and develop team members in a way that builds individual capability and high performance.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
- Experience working in a court or legal environment is desirable but not essential.
- The positions are subject to police and background checks.
