About the role
The Assistant Nursing Director is a key leadership role within Prison Health Services that is responsible for providing senior nursing leadership and operational management within the service. This role will support the Nursing Director in managing the increased operational demand resulting from the significant growth of the service.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrates specialised knowledge and skills in complex, contemporary nursing practice, working autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team to promote and enhance safe delivery of nursing care with the prison health service.
- Demonstrated advanced capability in stakeholder consultation and engagement, employing highly developed written and oral communications and highly effective interpersonal skills of consultation, negotiation, conflict resolution and relationship management that influence effectively and achieve desired outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in the application of key financial principles and effective resource management practices in complex health service environments.
- Possesses advanced clinical leadership qualities recognised to assess, guide and contribute to implementation of innovative and evidence based clinical practices.
- Provide expert professional advice to primary health care providers regarding service delivery, clinical assessments and care planning across the continuum, including risk management
