AddressThe Assistant Director Platforms is a technology leader, who will be a high performing leader with a track record of delivering platform infrastructure in areas of Wintel, Linux and Database.
You will work closely with the business and infrastructure application teams to understand their requirements and priorities and identify how platform technologies can enable those solutions.
You will have an ongoing focus on continuous improvement and the evolution of the platform,based on feedback and changing requirements to better meet the needs of its users ensuring that the platform is easy to use and integrate with, and that it provides clear benefits to application developers and the organisation.
As you will be working in a geographically dispersed team, you will have strong capabilities in managing work and people remotely and remain connected to your team.
Additionally, you remain forward-thinking, keeping a watchful eye on emerging technological trends to ensure the organisation remains innovate and enhances its technology solutions in a secure and compliant manner.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or relevant industry certifications / experience (ITIL / Azure / Linux / Database)
- 3+ years in a leadership role managing an Information Technology team or in a senior engineer role
- Practical knowledge of accountable technologies and implementation / operational support strategies
- Technology Accountabilities (OnPremise & Azure Cloud) include (but not limited to):
- o Windows Server
- o Linux Server
- o Database SQL / Oracle
- o Active Directory
- o Virtualisation (VMWare / Hyper-V)
- o SCCM / SCOM / Monitoring
- o Windows Defender
Location and Term: This role can be based in ACT, NSW, VIC, QLD, SA & TAS. This is a ongoing role, at El1 level.
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens. A Baseline security clearance is required for this role.
