The Corruption and Crime Commission is seeking your skills and experience to join our financial investigations team.
This pool recruitment process will remain open for a period of 12 months from the conclusion of the recruitment breach period.
Applicants appointed to the pool may be considered for appointment to subsequent and similar vacancies, with contracts being offered for up to five years with possibility of a further contract and/or extension.
One full time position is currently available for immediate filling.
THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The Corruption and Crime Commission (the Commission) is a leading anti-corruption agency whose primary purpose is to improve the integrity of and reduce the incidence of serious misconduct and corruption in the Western Australian Public Sector.
The Operations Directorate is responsible for the Commission's investigative capabilities. The two business units, Investigations and Operations Support, work together to proactively identify and investigate allegations of serious misconduct, unexplained wealth and criminal benefits. The focus of the Commission's investigations is on systemic and complex matters, many of which require the use of specialist capabilities.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Assistant Financial Investigator is responsible for actively participating in the conduct of financial investigations into allegations of unexplained wealth, criminal benefits, and allegations of serious and systemic misconduct within the Western Australia Public Sector, including the Western Australia Police.
The Commission requires applicants to be Australian citizens or be immediately eligible for citizenship, and appointment is conditional on satisfactory completion of a rigorous security clearance process.

Ability in accounting practices and analysis, auditing, or financial investigations

- Ability to analyse financial transactions and records of individuals, organisations, business structures and entities, and assist with preparing findings which can be clearly articulated and presented to others.
