Your new role
We are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Food & Beverage Manager who have the drive and passion in delivering a very high standard of food and beverage products to our members and guests.
Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager you will be responsible for the day to day operational needs of the venue and delivering a consistently high standard of F&B products and services in an efficient and professional manner to our members and guests.
This is a hands-on role and requires a friendly and courteous disposition with a desire to be successful, reading our members’ needs, exceeding their expectations, and having an innate ability to put members and guests first at the center of everything you do.
Position: Assistant F&B Manager
Primary Role:
To oversee the Club's Beverage offering and F&B services, ensuring exceptional quality and service for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform duties as directed by the F&B Manager
- Develop and maintain the beverage product and supplies
- Maintain inventory systems for all beverages and bar supplies
- Manage direct member wine sales
- Create and implement standard operating procedures for bar operations
- Ensure efficient inventory management and participate in monthly stock takes
- Train F&B personnel to club standards
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Collaborate with various departments to maintain the Club’s award-winning wine list
- Ensure compliance with Club policies for beverage service
- Work with various teams to ensure efficient service in all Club outlets and events
- Address and resolve member and guest complaints
- Attend staff and management meetings as required
- Oversee Food & Beverage closing procedures and ensure security
- Provide direct service during peak periods
- Serve as the Club’s opening or closing manager as needed
- Complete additional tasks as requested by the F&B Manager
Criteria and Mandatory Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- Approved manager’s license
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate computer literacy
- Strong understanding of front of house and back of house POS systems
- Excellent working knowledge of Food & Beverage hospitality operations
- Proven leadership skills
- Honesty, integrity, and confidentiality
- Exceptional time and energy management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships across departments
