About the role
Working within the Food Service Industry, the primary responsibilities include:
- Making sure that all quality control documentation is produced up-to-date and maintained on file as per requirement.
- Monitoring quality requirements.
- Provide training to employees regarding quality management, new procedures, corrective actions (CA), work instructions, food safety inductions, etc.
- Accurate and consistent documentation.
- Conducting Pre and post operational checks, as well as GMP check list.
- Control of raw material and supplier quality control as well as maintaining Approved supplier program.
- Performing Retention sampling regime checks. Checking finished products to ensure that they conform to their drawings, specifications, and QC acceptance criteria prior to authorizing shipment of the product or delivery.
- Conducting in-house calibrations.
- Organizing laboratory sampling testing as per schedule and collecting data results, carrying out proper corrective actions (CA), when necessary.
- Conducting environmental TPC/ Listeria and Pro-clean swabbing for internal and external testing.
- Monitoring the progress of corrective actions (CA) and performing testing/inspections when required to verify that corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Reviewing test results and work instructions to ensure that the testing is performed without error.
- Some knowledge of Product Specification, Documentation, Labelling and Country of origin will be beneficial.
- Assisting Management in projects and miscellaneous duties as directed.

Skills and experience
Ideally, the candidate will have a minimum of 2 years working experience in a quality role in the Food industry or Food services field.
A, University Degree (Such as Food scientist, Food technologist, Food Engineering, or related)
Quality Control and HACCP certifications or higher (SQF) knowledge would be beneficial for the role.
The ideal candidate must have:
- Possess excellent problem-solving skills to identify potential causes of defects and to come up with corrective actions that will eliminate or reduce the defect risks.
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints while still performing their tasks efficiently.
- Good interpersonal skills to build and maintain good relationships with suppliers, colleagues, different production staff members and customers in a work environment.
- Strong organizational skills, especially those related to scheduling, organizing the workload, and prioritizing activities.
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperate with other departments.
- Good level computer knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skill
- Attention to detail.
