MotorCycle Holdings (ASX: MTO) is Australia’s largest motorcycle and accessories group, with wholesale and retail operations operating out of 43 locations across Australia and New Zealand. Established in 1989, we have an annual turnover of around $500M and retail unit sales of almost 25,000 motorcycles.
Due to recent acquisitions, this newly created role will be based in our Corporate Head Office located on the south side of Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing ASX-listed corporation at a Corporate level.
About the role
You will report to, and be mentored by, the Financial Controller. The role will see you assist with things like:
- Ensuring internal control procedures are maintained over payment batches
- Preparation of monthly, half yearly and annual financial reporting, management reporting and variance analysis
- Preparation for half yearly and year end audit, and assisting external auditors regarding audit queries
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring the integrity of associated GL schedule balances
- Maintenance of fixed asset registers, processing monthly depreciation entries and ensuring appropriate depreciation rates are in use
- Monthly EOM reporting for various manufacturers
- Monthly commission calculation
- Maintaining and reconciling inter-company loans
- Ensuring corporate overheads are allocated to appropriate cost centres
About you
We would expect you to possess the following:
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft excel skills
- The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on various levels of the organisation
- A keen work ethic and willingness to learn
- Have completed or almost completed a bachelor’s degree in business or commerce, and intend to commence CPA studies
- Previous automotive industry experience will be very highly regarded but is not required.
This is an entry level role that would be suited to graduates with limited or no experience. Mentoring, study days, and study support will be provided.
