As the Assistant Group Treasurer, reporting directly to the Senior Treasury Manager, you will be managing all day-to-day Treasury activities relating to funding, compliance and risk management for The Star (SGR) and on behalf of Joint Ventures.
This is a great opportunity to hone your skills and provide specialist expertise and advice to the business to support the execution of strategic objectives.
A few of your responsibilities
- Manage Treasury operational activities for SGR and JVs, in compliance with approved controls, policies and procedures and resolve operational issues that arise
- Implement initiatives to maintain a robust Treasury controls environment for The Star Group and joint ventures which contain financing managed by SGR
- Key contact for completion of audits, liaising with relationship banks, USPP Noteholders, credit rating agencies and legal advisers in relation to daily operational and compliance requirements
- Responsible for approving daily funding as an authorised signatory of loan facilities and executing derivatives on behalf of SGR and JVs to hedge currency and interest rate risks
- Implement initiatives to maintain a robust Treasury controls environment for The Star Group and joint ventures which contain financing managed by SGR
What we are looking for
- Technical accounting skills
- Understanding of financing arrangement and capital structure elements
- Calculation and modelling of financial covenants and credit rating metrics
- Advanced computer skills (Oracle/ERP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Lead Self, Lead Others, Lead Business (refer to ECHO Leadership Framework)
You will have experience in large/ASX companies as a Senior Treasurer/Head of Treasury/Assistant Group Treasurer with a proven track record of executing treasury specific operational efficiency projects as well as supporting the development and implementation of the overall funding strategy for Group and JV funding requirements.
