About us:
The Medical Interim Care Unit is a dynamic workplace which treats Central Queensland Adults for a variety of medical and geriatric conditions including Covid-19. The ward consists of 24 beds, made up of 10 single rooms, 2 negative pressure rooms and 6 double rooms.
About the role:
The Asssitant in Nursing has a key role in supporting nursing and midwifery colleagues to deliver safe, quality care and support the smooth running of the Department.
* Gather information about resident/patient care needs by observing the resident/patient and reporting to the Registered Nurse, to assist the Registered Nurse to assess, plan and evaluate care.
* Apply the policies, procedures, and guidelines applicable to patient care as set out by the organisation.
* Responsible for identifying own learning needs and seeking new learning opportunities, acquiring new skills and knowledge to meet service need.
About you:
To be successful in this role, it is highly desirable to have completed a relevant Certificate 3 or successfully completed equivalent of 12 months full time study in a diploma of nursing or Bachelor of Nursing program.
* The ability to demonstrate sound evidence-based clinical skills for an Assistant in Nursing
* Ability to communicate respectfully and thoughtfully with other staff, patients, and carers.

Total remuneration value of up to $79,843 p.a is comprised of:
* A salary between $32.23 - $35.29 p.h
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
