This is a Recruitment Pool for suitably qualified Assistant in Nursing covering:
Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part Time, Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time and Casual appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
The following should be noted:
- The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis.
- Interviews may not be conducted as part of the process however applicants may be contacted to provide additional information.
- Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
- Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2024.
Position Profile: We are currently seeking to appoint Assistant in Nursing (AIN) at the Albany Health Campus.
As part of a multidisciplinary team the AIN delivers patient care under the direct supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse. Suitably qualified candidates will perform the primary function of an Assistant in Nursing as defined in the attached Mandatory Policy 0080/18 Assistant in Nursing Policy and scope of practice document - Assistant in Nursing Duties.
Essential Criteria
To be employed as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) applicants must meet one of the following requirements as outlined in the attached JDF and Mandatory Policy document:
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute Care) OR
- Evidence of successful completion of one of the following:
- a) Stage 1&2 (66% completion) of a Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) approved Diploma of Nursing or
- b) Diploma of Nursing and active enrolment into a NMBA approved Bachelor of Nursing conversion program (EN to RN conversion) or
- c) Stage 1-3 (50% completion) of a NMBA approved Bachelor of Nursing Program or
- d) Stage 1-4 (50% completion) of an NMBA approved dual Bachelor of Science (Nursing)/Bachelor of Science (Midwifery) program and academic good standing.
- e) and current and ongoing course enrolment (including evidence of current successful completion of Basic Life Support, Manual/Safe Handling and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) training (inclusive of COVID-19 IPC training)).
