About the role
As an Assistant Kitchen Manager you are essential to lead the successful operation of the kitchen on a daily basis. Specifically, you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Provide exceptional kitchen standards to maintain the quality of produce and presentation of all meals
- Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to lead kitchen operations, including ordering, and cost management as well as working inline with company objectives to achieve KPI’s
- Conduct kitchen quality control measures and ensure company compliance of all OH&S/WH&S requirements
- Lead By Example by embodying our company's values and fostering a positive work culture
About you
- Passion for Food: appreciation of all aspects of food and a strong commitment to providing exceptional service
- Communication Skills: strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability: ability to work in a face-paced and high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience: at least 2 years previous experience in a similar role and experience with Italian food is preferred
- Positivity: a team player with a willingness to learn and strong work ethic
- Flexibility: availability over a 7-day rotating roster; including weekdays, weekends and public holidays
