About the team Property looks after one of Australia's most dynamic portfolios. Coles Group has over 2,500 retail locations around Australia—and we're growing every day. Our team manages every one of these locations. And we work side-by-side with our business units on all things property, from site acquisition through to asset management. About the roleThis is a 12-month full-time contract.In this role you're joining the Location Planning team and will sit within the wider Property function which is integral to the development and execution of our network growth strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity to witness firsthand how Coles leverages its data to inform strategic business decisions. What you'll be doing You'll be at the heart of our Property Intelligence process that is responsible for monitoring and tracking competitor developments as well as maintaining our Store Locations database which directly influences multi-million-dollar investment decisions. Ways you can make an impact: • Use your analytical skills to forecast the impact of competitor activity will have on Coles• Maintain the health and integrity of our core datasets• Assist in the development and evolution of the property strategy• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the team (and broader Property function) by identifying and implementing improved efficiencies and better ways of working. Good things you'll need: • A naturally curious and analytical mindset and a passion for problem solving• An ambition to begin a career in the field of data analytics• Currently studying for, or recently attained, a tertiary qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Geography, Property, Business Commerce or a related discipline• A passion for retail, site selection, and location analysis• A high level of self-motivation, comfort working both independently and within a team, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
