As our Assistant Planner, you will play an important role in supporting the Merchandise Planning team in optimizing inventory levels and maximizing sale opportunities for your category. You will assist in analyzing sales data, forecasting demand, and developing merchandise plans to ensure product availability and profitability across our retail locations, all whilst being mentored and developed by the Senior Planner.

Get excited to:
- Monitor sales and external market activity to maximise sale opportunities and minimise potential risks.
- Review and monitor range plans regularly with the Buyer and Planner.
- Generate ideas to improve sales and profit performance.
- Work with the Planner to manage the in-season open to buy at department/category/season level using the WSSI and ensure that the budgeted or re-plan stock levels are being met.
- Awareness of ACCC guidelines.
- Maximise profit and minimise risk through stock management and realistic sales and profit forecasts with regular review and appropriate action.
- Monitor and review product trend balances and proactively question future orders placed where sales patterns vary to the original framework to maximise sales and profit.
- Margin management through the effective control of markdowns and promotional activity in line with departmental budgets.
- Manage terminal stock targets driving educated trading decisions to effectively achieve maximum sell through, and minimise profit loss
- Contribute to planning strategies by assisting the Planner, to propose category budgets by having a sound understanding of the below points.
- End of month/post season, work with the Assistant Buyer to identify opportunities, based on lessons learnt, to optimise the departmental strategy and provide analytics to support correct planning direction.
- With the Buyer, Designer and Planner construct a well-balanced range framework which offers the right mix of product e.g., casual/formal, print/plain, colour and fabric to match the customer's fashion requirements, based on history and current performance
Our next superstar will have a minimum of 2-3 years relevant retail experience either as an Allocator looking to progress, or an Assistant Planner looking to take their career onto a Global stage.
