Our client is looking for a Full-Time Assistant Manager for its mixed farming enterprise. The operations are based at Manoora SA, with additional properties in the Eastern Districts Pastoral Zone and Fleurieu Hills.
The Assistant Manager will report to the owners. Out of hours and weekend work is expected on occasion, when necessary. Some travel is also required between properties, with the employee required to stay at the away properties at times.
Salary being offered is $70,000 + super.
Duties including but not limited to:
• Seeding of commercial and fodder crops
• Manage and implement feed program
• Monitor pasture
• Maintain water and fences
• Maintain machinery (basic)
• Shift stock
• General sheep husbandry
• Meet lambing/weaning targets
• Meet budgets
• Record farm activities
Essential skills
At least 5 years' experience
