Holy Trinity Anglican Parish in Dubbo exists to know Jesus and make Him known, aligning with our diocesan mission of Sharing Jesus for life. It is a medium-sized parish with multiple and varied services each week, supported by key discipleship ministries and several community-related outreach initiatives. The parish has significant historical significance in the city of Dubbo with the beautiful sandstone building centrally located and featuring prominently in the lives of many locals.With the recent appointment of a new Rector, the parish is entering a new season. This season confirms and continues a Word-based foundation for all parish ministry.Responsibilities include:
- coordinating and helping with all youth and children’s ministry programs.
- supporting community-related pastoral ministry including funerals and visitation.
- a committed, evident and tested faith in and personal relationship with the risen Lord Jesus as Saviour and Lord.
- a demonstrated personal commitment to spreading the Gospel.
- current holy orders as deacon or priest, or be on a trajectory towards ordination.
- the ability to comply with all diocesan Safe Ministry requirements.
- previous experience with, and a passion for, church ministry programs to youth and children.
- effective written and verbal communication skills, able to build and develop pastoral relationships with people from different demographics and backgrounds.
- completed (or be progressing towards completing) a Bachelor of Theology or equivalent from a college deemed suitable by the Bishop.
- alignment with a “classical Anglican” expression of the Christian faith, incorporating an understanding of Anglican distinctives and a commitment to uphold them.
- suitable experience in expository preaching, and preparing and leading traditional and contemporary church services.
- an appreciation of both parish and diocesan historical contexts.
