Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full-Time Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. As an Assistant Accountant at Emanuel Synagogue, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring the organisation's fiscal responsibilities are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in day-to-day accounting and financial transactions
- Prepare and maintain financial records, ledgers, and reports
- Reconcile accounts and assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with team members on financial analysis and audits
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and policies
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and principles
