About the opportunity
We are currently seeking a committed and driven Assistant Principal (Strategic Coach Year 9 - 12) to share in the leadership of the Catholic school community by supporting the principal and leadership team. The focus of your role will be to support the continued delivery of high-quality contemporary learning and teaching within the school and to deliver strong academic outcomes within the community that we serve which is embedded in the Catholic worldview.
This role is permanent full time and will commence in Term 2, 2024.
This rewarding Senior School Leadership opportunity serves as instrumental support to the Principal in all areas including Leading Pedagogy, Catholic Culture, Leading Self & Others and Stewardship. More specifically, you will:
Focus on the synergy between equipping students with core academic skills as well as building their core values and personal qualities
Empower staff, students and parents to actively engage with the school community through effective relationships
Be an active and leading part of a high-performing Senior Leadership team, with transparency, integrity and high levels of self-awareness
Work collaboratively with teachers, students and families to grow student learning and development in thriving communities
Selection criteria
Respond to the following criteria including some specific examples to demonstrate the impact of your work:
Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships across the school community, leading and challenging the community to give witness to the Catholic faith (100 - 150 words)
Evidence of pedagogical leadership, knowledge of curriculum and contemporary approaches to learning (100-150 words)
Experience leading teams to improve student performance (100-150 words)
Demonstrated ability to promote the growth and wellbeing of students and staff and build partnerships with parents (100-150 words)
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning and formation for self and commitment to leading others in these areas (100-150 words)
Qualifications and accreditations
Postgraduate study in Leadership, or commitment to commence postgraduate studies within four years of appointment
Accreditation for Senior Leadership in a Catholic School, Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead
Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance
Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
