Assistant Principal - Student Wellbeing at Community College Gippsland plays a crucial role in guiding the staff. Their primary focus is to create an inclusive and positive educational environment for all students. This involves providing support, fostering well-being, and ensuring a holistic learning experience.The position is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Oversee the collection and use of data and evidence to identify student needs and prioritise adjustments and supports, targeted workshops and/or programs.
  • Research and embed alternative therapies into an educational model.
  • Utilise, co-ordinate and update the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on Students with Disability (NCCD).
  • Coordinate professional supervision of staff as required.
  • Oversee the educational support for all Koorie students, out of home care and youth justice.
  • Implement evidence-based wellbeing, student support and trauma informed Professional Learning.
About you….
  • Victorian Teachers Registration (VIT)
  • Working with children, Police Check, Current Drivers Licence.
  • Masters or Postgraduate qualification in Positive Education, Student Wellbeing, educational Leadership and/or educational management.
  • Have a passion for education and supporting students and staff to succeed.
  • Demonstrated experience in educational leadership in Student Wellbeing.
