Assistant Product Innovation Officer, Ongoing role, Parramatta location with hybrid working
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Product Innovation Officer to join our Business taxes Team within Revenue NSW.
This role forms part of the Business Taxes branch of Revenue NSW and undertakes the administration of a number of state taxes, unclaimed money, and grants. Business Taxes supports our customers to comply and undertakes compliance audits and investigations.
The Business Taxes Product, Quality and Innovation team is a new unit which supports Business Taxes through staff development, customer education, process and systems improvement and customer data analysis. The team’s goal is to provide innovative solutions to support quality and efficiency in the wider branch.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Support continuous improvement projects that deliver innovative and/or automation solutions to business needs.
- Support in the development of process maps, work instructions, test plans and UAT
- Support the Business Excellence team in defining requirements, testing, providing SME knowledge and change management.
- Liaise and respond to internal stakeholders’ requests where system problems are identified to ensure continuous improvement of the business and timely resolution of issues
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience working on small IT projects
- An ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders, developing and fostering strong relationships
- Initiative and be a self-starter that takes accountability for their work and is comfortable making decisions within their own discretion.
- Ability to collate and translate ideas into actionable solutions that support project outcomes
