MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
•Work closely with the cross functional team, including Innovations, Operations, Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Technical and Marketing to develop the Primo portfolio.
•Hands on development of new products from ideation to commercialisation, ensuring that all commercial targets are met
•Ensure all product development aspects are complete on time in full for all breakthrough innovation projects to ensure approval through the stage gate process
•Keep abreast of food trends, and innovation within the food industry to build knowledge for future product development projects.
•Prioritise work schedule to ensure that tasks are completed within agreed timeframes
•Ensure legal and regulatory compliance is maintained across all processes, ingredients and labelling within the New Product Development lifecycle

Skills/Competencies:
•Bachelor's degree in food science and technology or similar
• 5+ years’ experience working in a food product development role
•Able to think outside the box
•Knowledge of FSANZ legal requirements
•Ability to work successfully across all levels of the business to drive product development process.
•Comfortable in a hands-on role working with meat and smallgoods equipment to develop products in pilot plant and factory environment.
•Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
•Computer literacy, including Intermediate level of MS excel
•A detail-oriented individual, who is able to effectively contribute to a team environment
•Sensitive to numbers and procedures
•Able to work with all types of meat and meat products
•Consciousness of safe work and OHS while working with high traffic of pallet jack and folk lift area
•Attention to detail and accuracy – essential
•Ability to work well under deadlines and pressure
•The ability to prioritize tasks and be able to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously
•Approachable and enthusiastic
•Flexible and adaptable
•Able to work on own initiative and as a team player
•Good organizational skills with cultural awareness and sensitivity
