Tasks and Responsibilities
Support Product Manager in all tasks
Understand vendor products and processes, bidding, vendor tools
Develop and retain strong working relationship with vendor
Understand pricing programs and reflecting onto channel pricelists for customers
Develop and execute marketing plans and initiatives to drive demand generation
Manage pricing breaks/product catalogues and publishing pricelist to customers and internal sales staff
Manage and execute internal sales training and enablement
Acquire, develop and maintain customer accounts
Manage vendor claims and ensure timely payments
Manage margin and vendor rebate attainment for portfolio
Owning and achieving vendor/company targets end to end
Forecasting sales/pipeline to the business and formulate gap plans
Ordering and forecasting stock, managing weeks of inventory and aged/obsolescence
Proactively work with key customers to generate repeat business
Proactively work with internal sales/BDM’s/stakeholders to drive new business/opportunities
Be the vendor evangelist within Dicker Data
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Distribution experience preferred
Proactive/operational excellence/problem solving
Taking the initiative, self-motivated, creative
Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent customer service skills. Relationship building and skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Able to work well in a team as well as autonomously
Strong MS Office proficiency
