The Assistant Project Manager (Property) role forms an integral part of the Property team, supporting the Project Manager in delivering successful and timely property projects and achieving their project delivery goals. Key Responsibilities- Assistance with acquisitions and due diligence
- Preparation and management of project programmes
- Attending to project management activities including scope, time, cost, quality, risk and contract management/administration
- Co-ordination of planning and approvals
- Assist in organising and managing site meetings and project meetings
- Develop relationships and liaise regularly with relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Development of design briefs, tenders, contract and other documentation
- Preparation and management of construction contracts (where applicable)
- Processing of progress claims and invoices
- Management of defect liability periods and handover
- Cash flow and feasibility preparation and management
- Planning and management of project budgets
- Project reporting, including reporting against project financial and performance metrics of project deliverables
- Feasibility analysis, due diligence and other reporting as required
- Any other tasks required to deliver the project to meet the project deliverables, and/or as directed by the Project Manager
- Adhere to and provide input into procedures, processes and quality control measures
- Actively participate in the development of new and improved processes and procedures for the team
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Property or a related discipline
- Previous experience in and a genuine passion for commercial office fit-outs / refurbishments and property development
- Experience in dealing with consultant teams
- Demonstrated ability to use creative thinking and negotiation strategies to co-ordinate multiple stakeholders and deliver successful project outcomes
- Confidence to make decisions and use initiative to find solutions when necessary
- Experience with financial cashflows and project feasibility modelling
- Highly-developed communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and see the bigger companywide picture
- Meticulous attention to detail with a proven ability to commit and remain focused on tasks and goals
- Committed to working with and developing procedures and processes
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant IT Applications
