Liverpool City Council will deliver four transformative city-shaping projects over the next three years, worth more than $150 million. The projects will be delivered by the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants (WSIG) Program Project Delivery Team, which comprises staff dedicated to driving excellence and creating the leading project delivery team in NSW local government.
We are now looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support a Senior Project Manager to deliver a park and community building at Light Horse Park, Liverpool.
Ideally, the preferred applicant will come from a client-side project management background, have experience in development and construction management or possess similar skills gained from other related disciplines.
Applicants should have a demonstrated tertiary background in a related discipline and be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing complex projects of a built-form nature or open space development.
The preferred candidate will be charged with the responsibility to interpret strategic direction and build on their previous experience through working closely with a highly experienced Senior Project Manager.
They will be exposed to all aspects of project management including but not limited to:
- · Design development and consultant co-ordination
- · Review and interpretation of specialist reports
- · Preparation of approvals
- · Liaising with relevant government, non-government and internal stakeholders
- · Interpret budgets, programs, and other project control documents
- · Prepare briefing papers and reports to inform the PCG and steerco committees
- · Prepare procurement packages including liaising with consultants and peers to prepare scope
